54. Statement of Purpose for the Inauguration of Prime Dharma Master at the Reverential Enthronement and Expressing Appreciation at Retirement Ceremony

On in the Won Era, I, a disciple, , with purified mind and body, confess respectfully before the Dharmakaya Buddha, the Fourfold Grace at the inauguration of the Prime Dharma Master.
Despite my being with weak dharma power and shallow virtue, I, a disciple, am unable to decline the enthronement recommendation and the previous Prime Dharma Master’s earnest trust, hence I have dared to take this great office, as the head representative of this Order. I am unworthy and feel the weight of this responsibility, but I believe that there will always be protection from the Dharmakaya Buddha, the Fourfold Grace, and the cooperation and help of fellow members on my left and right. Thus, I solemnly swear that I will devote myself totally with my mind and body in this enterprise of saving sentient beings and curing the world.
Dharmakaya Buddha, Fourfold Grace!
Bestow your endless grace and awesome power so that the great enterprise of this Order may progress day by day. Thereby may the minds of all people, inside and outside of the Order, be united and completely communicated to one another so that they may all accomplish the great vow of attaining buddhahood and delivering sentient beings.
