53. Statement of Purpose for the Retirement of the Prime Dharma Master at the Reverential Enthronement and Expressing Appreciation at Retirement Ceremony

On in the Won Era, I, , being of purified mind and body, supplicate with respect before the Dharmakaya Buddha, the Fourfold Grace at the retirement of the Prime Dharma Master.
I, a disciple, dared to have taken on the heavy responsibility of representative of this Order for years, despite my being of weak dharma power and shallow virtue. There has been no major fault and trouble in the administration of the Order, which I attribute to the gracious virtue and protection of the Dharmakaya Buddha, the Fourfold Grace, and to the benefaction of the wholehearted support fellow members of the Order.
Since I, a disciple, have finished already my term of office (I am already old and infirm) and my colleague, , wise and virtuous, is capably decided to succeed to his office of Prime Dharma Master, I am handing over my duties and retiring.
Dharmakaya Buddha, Fourfold Grace!
Please bestow your holy grace and awesome power ceaselessly; let the power of the Order continue to flourish, as sage after sage continues to appear continuously long; therefore, please allow us to achieve the great vows of attaining the buddhahood and saving all living beings.
