Section 2. Monthly Dharma Services

1. The monthly dharma service is for all adherents every month to assess their practice and to hone their knowledge and perspective. It can be held on Sunday or three days-6th, 16th, and 26th-or on an appropriate day according to the circumstances of adherents in the region or district. When choosing the Sunday dharma service, the Order should hold an evening dharma service on Wednesday, and when choosing three days, they should hold an evening dharma service on three 1st days - 1st, 11th, and 21st. When holding a travelling dharma service in a new branch temple or missionary branch, the person who is in charge of the edification in the area shall hold a service on an adequate day.
2. The regular dharma services shall be held in the following order:
1) Opening
2) Entering Samadhi
3) Song of the Order (Hymn 2)
4) Mental affirmation (Ceremonial Texts 40, 41)
5) Reciting the dharma words with reverence
6) The Essential Dharmas of Daily Practice (Ceremonial Text 9)
7) Lecture on the scripture and hymn
8) Sermon
9) Question and answer about meaning of dharmas
10) Others (statement of oath, public notice)
11) Song of Adjournment (Hymn 31)
12) Closing.
3. The evening services shall be held in the following order:
1) Opening

3) Song of the Order (Hymn 2)
4) Mental affirmation (Ceremonial Texts 40, 41)
5) The Essential Dharmas of Daily Practice (Ceremonial Text 9)
6) Lecture on the scripture or sermon
7) Others
8) Closing.
According to occasion, Song of Adjournment (Hymn 31) and other hymns can be added.
4. At the first regular services every month, one should recite the statement of oath (Ceremonial Text 42) in the order of 'others'.
