Chapter 3. Dharma Services

Section 4. Occasional Dharma Services

1. An occasional dharma service refers to a gathering for dharma discourse that takes place at any given time as needed and, generally speaking, all kinds of assemblies in the Order which should be held with the formalities of the temple. It is held occasionally according to the conditions of the temple, minister, and lecturer, and its order shall be conducted based on the procedures of a regular service or an evening service with additions or omissions as needed.
2. Entering Samadhi and mental affirmation as a formality in the temple shall be included and implemented at all service procedures and even at administrative meetings if they are public gatherings of the Order held at the dharma hall.
3. At any dharma service, the seat of the dharma master or the lecturer shall be prepared befitting their status. A dharma discourse delivered by a formal dharma master shall always be received with the formality befitting that status.
