Section 16

“Furthermore, there are ten actions that can cause sentient beings to receive the karmic recompense of [rebirth in] the hells. 1. Their bodies engage in the most heinous kinds of evil actions. 2. Their mouths engage in the most heinous kinds of evil actions. 3. Their minds engage in the most heinous kinds of evil actions. 4. They give rise to the wrong view of annihilationism. 5. They give rise to the wrong view of eternalism. 6. They give rise to the wrong view of things being uncaused (asatkāryavāda). 7. They give rise to the view of things being uncreated (akaraṇa). 8. They give rise to the [wrong] view of nonexistence. 9. They give rise to extreme views. 10. They are unaware of the need to requite benevolence. These ten actions can cause sentient beings to receive the karmic recompense of [rebirth in] the hells.
