The Master said, “‘Right will prevail in the end’ is a correct Chinese adage, but we could actually replace ‘right’ with a homophonous character and say, “All human affairs end up as they are determined.’ They say ‘calamity will extend to one’s posterity,’ but in fact we should say ‘calamity will extend to oneself.’”
